I haven’t been blogging for a while. I’ve been a bit preoccupied so bear with me and maybe by the end of this, you’ll understand why. In Second Life, people come and go, it’s the nature of ‘the game’ (a term I use very loosely). Our second lives often being dictated by our first lives and as it should be, but it can be hard to form relationships with people. Along the way, if you’re lucky, you meet people that enrich your life in some way. Maybe it’s through friendship, a common interest, love of shopping, or just being plain goofy. And occasionally it’s through love. I’ve seen it happen, these little fairy tales, where boy meets girl and they fall in love in SL, and even through the obstacle of distance, they find ways to persevere. Maybe even for a lucky few, one day bringing that special bond into the real world. Happiness is different for everyone. But when you find it, you really need to hang onto it, enjoy it, be grateful for it, in whatever capacity you can and however long it lasts. When you’re far apart, it’s all those little things that can matter so much. A special message, a text, a smile, a photo, time spent together. So this is my little tribute to “SL Love Long Distance”.
I, myself, am fortunate to have found it too. It’s new and it’s wonderful and I’m just enjoying it one day at a time. I hope he knows how much. 🙂
